Noah’s Football Experience!
Recently Noah dropped by the launch and friendly matches organised by the new Junior Premier League. As can be expected, any activity involving running out in the open will definitely make Noah excited!
After only 10 minutes, Noah’s cheeks were rosy and he was sweating from running around and kicking the ball. He would have like to join a team but unfortunately, Noah has not reached the minimum age (and maybe height!) requirement.
For those who are wondering, The Junior Premier League is the foremost private sector premier football league for junior players ages 6 to 10 years old.
Noah and his parents are of course excited as they know that there are many benefits that playing sports can bring to Noah and the whole family. For those who are not sure, let’s go through the list of the benefits of playing sports for children.
- Physical Activity
Physical activity is the most obvious benefit of sports participation. Children often spend too much time watching TV or playing video games. So sports can actually get the children to exercise.
- Self-Confidence
Participation in sports can have a huge positive impact on a child’s self-esteem and confidence. Children who participate in sports get praise and encouragement from coaches and parents, which helps to build self-confidence.
- Academic Success
It is no surprise that children who participate in athletics excel in academics as well. They can apply the same principles of dedication and hard work learned through sports participation to their studies.
As you can see, sports is truly beneficial to children. So next time you see Noah running in a field, please join in!
